Rick and his team at Steedman Constructions built our new dream home on our sloping block in Terrigal.  We signed a cost-plus building contract and were well aware that Rick essentially had a lot of control of the overall the cost of the build.  We understood we had put a lot of trust in Ricks work and moral ethic and it gave us flexibility to make alterations during the build process.

Rick kept us well informed throughout the entire build process and asked countless questions and offered alterative options to ensure the final product was exactly what we had envisaged.

We engaged Steedman Constructions for a major backyard renovation, which included extensive excavation, retaining walls, landscaping, and a new pool. From start to finish, Rick and his team were outstanding to deal with.

Rick renovated our home in Holgate in 2021, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. The whole project took about nine months, and Rick was relaxed but professional throughout. He was easy to contact, open to questions, and kept everything transparent with clear spreadsheets and detailed invoicing. His team was hardworking, reliable, and always friendly. The workmanship and finishes were excellent – four years on, everything still looks fantastic and we’ve had no issues at all. Highly recommend.

In 2024 we needed to repair a significant long standing leak and water  damage in a room that is directly below a deck. It was a complex repair job however on initial meeting with Rick Steedman,it was clear that he knew exactly what he was talking about and he instilled confidence immediately. Our confidence was well placed. Having had that same ceiling repaired by different people unsuccessfully multiple times over years, I am pleased to say there has been no leak despite months of torrential rain.

Rick and his team were kind, softly spoken and cleaned up but even more importantly were meticulous with attention to detail. We are well pleased with the results.
